Students Attend March for Life Chicago

On Saturday, January 11, Loyola Academy’s Right to Life Club participated in the 2020 March for Life at Daley Plaza in Chicago. The 2020 March for Life Chicago theme was “Life Empowers: Pro-Life is Pro-Woman.” Fr. Stan Czarnecki, SJ, campus minister, and Mrs. Terri Guercio, assistant director of prospect research, chaperoned the Ramblers as they took part in the rally and march.
Before marching from Daley Plaza down Michigan Avenue to Congress Plaza Hotel, students heard from the following rally speakers: Eric Scheidler, executive director of the Pro-Life Action League; Dan Fitzpatrick, president of the March for Life Chicago; Rev. Dr. Matthew Harrison, president of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod; Alex Lehan, We Dignify college student leader; Cardinal Cupich, Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago; and Dr. Karen Deighan, Loyola Medical OB/GYN.

It was an important experience for the Ramblers who participated—a day of learning, engagement, and prayerful action.
