Seven Seniors Honored at Glenview Optimist Club Breakfast

On November 20, seven seniors from Loyola Academy attended the Glenview Optimist Club Breakfast where they were recommended by their teachers, coaches, counselors or clergy to receive the 2019 Ralph Lynch Youth Appreciation Awards for excellence in their respective areas of achievement in the following classifications: citizenship, religious service, scholarship, sportsmanship or vocational.
The Glenview Optimist Club is a part of Optimist International, a worldwide volunteer organization that conducts positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth. The Glenview Optimist Club raises money for the youth in Glenview and distributes it through scholarships, youth programs, and community events. 

Congratulations to Owen Zidar '20, Grace Murnane '20, and Tyler Harp '20 for excellence in citizenship; Meg McCall '20 for excellence in religious service; Leo Brett '20 for excellence in scholarship; Grace Wetoska '20 for excellence in sportsmanship; and Jake Holecek '20 for excellence in vocational.
