Track and Field Sends Three Down State

Three members of the boys’ track and field team qualified for this week’s IHSA state championship meet: Jack Loveland ’19, Kieran Thompson ’20, and Spencer Werner ’22.
The Ramblers qualified for State with the following performances at the state sectional meet held on Thursday, May 16, and Niles West high School:
  • Senior Jack Loveland took 1st place in the 400m dash with a time of 49.
  • Junior Kieran Thompson cleared 6' 3" in the high jump.
  • Freshman Spencer Werner took 3rd place in the 3200m run with a time of 9:18.74.

The IHSA State championship will be held Friday, May 24 (prelims) and Saturday, May 25, at Eastern Illinois University.
