Six sophomores traveled to Detroit, Michigan, over the weekend where they attended the Jesuit Schools Network Student Diversity Conference with other Jesuit high school students. Participants included Hawa Diabor ’21, Christ Gonclaves ’21, Tyler Langford ’21, Amaiya McCord ’21, Edwin Navarette ’21 and Summer Parker Hall ’21.
Ramblers had the opportunity to visit the Charles Wright Museum of African American History and discuss Arab-American and Islamic Catholic relations with Imam Radwan Mardini. It was a wonderful weekend of networking, engagement and collaboration with peers from fellow Jesuit schools.
Director of School Culture Mr. ChrisPenna and School Counselor Dr. Gabrielle Feldman chaperoned the trip.
Day 2: Students from Jesuit high schools around the country gathered to learn about the history of African Americans from pre-history to the present at the Charles Wright Museum of African American History.

Day 3: Arab-American and Islamic Catholic Relations. Students gathered to learn from and share a meal with Imam Radwan Mardini.
