Congratulations to the girls' track team, which captured the Girls' Catholic Athletic Conference (GCAC) championship on Saturday, May 5!
Outstanding performances were led by Emily Plodzeen ’18, who won the 3200m; Addison Bendery ’19, won the 100 m and the 200 m; Angela Lynch ’18, who won the shot put; and Grace Powers ’21, who won the discuss.
Loyola won the 4 x 200 relay—relay members: Anne Santangelo ’19, Arianna Awdisho ’19, Drea Barone ’19 and Addison Bendery ’19.
Loyola also won the 4 x 400 relay—relay members: Eva Holdan ’21, Nicole Cleland ’21, Louisa Edwards ’18 and Betsy Delany ’21.
Notably, Brook Moran ’18 broke a school record in the 400 m race—she placed 2nd in the GCAC!
