CONGRATUALTIONS to the entire JV Team on a great season, capped off with a CCL Championship at Cog Hill. The Team score of 302 was very impressive and beat 2nd place Fenwick by 22 strokes!! Individually the guys played great!!! Jack Stamatis finished in 2nd Place, shooting a 75, Daniel Burden finished in 3rd, shooting a 75, Griffin Huntington 76, Duke McGinn 76, Peter Lochnicki 78 and Mark Bitbabo 86 all contributed. The Ramblers closed out a successful season with a 166-178 Win against the Trevians. Mason Lalich led the way with an impressive 38!! Ryan Horn 40, Pasha Zabedneh 42 and Mikey Smylie/Connor McAuley 46 all contributed. Next up is the CCL Championship on Monday at Cog Hill. Go Ramblers!!
The Ramblers dropped a close match to DePaul Prep at Tam O’Shanter. Cullen Hughes-39, Max Gigot-40, Nick Perraino-40 and Connor McCauley-41 all contributed.
Congrats to the Team for winning the prestigous Lake Forest Invite with a robust 311 Team score, which bested Lake Forest on a 5th score!!!! The Ramblers also beat Hinsdale Central, New Trier, GBS, GBN, etc. Individually Danny Burden 76 (finished 4th), Mark Bitbabo 76 (finished 5th), Jack Stamatis 78 (finished 8th), Duke McGin 81, Cullen Hughes 81 and Pasha Zabadneh 86.
The Ramblers traveled to beautiful LaGrange CC and played against against host Nazareth. Danny Burden led the way shooting a 1 over par 37, Jack Stamatis also posted a very good score of 38. Griffin Huntington 40 and Duke McGinn/Ryan Horn 44 contributed.
The JV Ramblers lost to Lake Forest at Lake Bluff by 3 strokes. Daniel Burden and Jack Stamatis led the way with 39’s, Griffin Huntington 40 and Duke McGinn/Cullen Hughes 42’s contributed.
The Ramblers went all the way to Prairie Landing and the trip was worth it as they turned in an impressive team total 154!!! Mark Bitbabo led the way with a 37, Daniel Burden 38, Peter Lochnicki 39 and Jack Stamatis 40 all contributed to the total score.
Mason Lalich 42, Daniel Hession 44, Pasha Zabedneh 44 and James Farrell/Nick Peraino/ Connor McAuley 45 combined for a team best 175, but it wasn't enough to beat New Trier.
The Ramblers lost a close match to GBN at Heritage Oaks by 3 strokes. Freshmen Duke McGinn39 and Soph Julian Gabal 39 led the way, with help from Ed Horton 41 and Peter Lochnicki 41.
The 5th score decided our match with St. Viator as the Ramblers posted a 4 man score of 163 to tie St. Viator. Daniel Burden 38, Jack Stamatis 39, James Farrell 42, Michael Smylie 44 and 5th score Ryan Horn 45 all contributed on a windy afternoon.
The Ramblers came up short as a team on Saturday at The Mundelein Quad at Steeple Chase with a 3rd place score of 344 behind 1st Place New Trier 355, but Freshmen Mark Bitbabo shot an 80, to become The Medalist!! Ryan Horn 87, James Farrell 88, Pasha Zabadneh 89all contributed.
Our guys had a great opportunity to play in the Varsity St. Viator Invite at Old Orchard Saturday. A team score of 323 was good enough for 6th place. Junior Matt Christopolous shot a 73- 5th place, while our own Griffin Huntington shot a 75 and finished in 10th place. Daniel Burden 87 and Jack Stamatis 88 contributed.
Duke McGinn led all scorers with an impressive 36. Griffin Huntington also carded an impressive 37. Ryan Horn 40 and Jack Stamatis 41 also contributed to the impressive team score of 156.
The Ramblers started off the week with a solid Win over Maine South 162-180. Frosh Duke McGinn lead all scores with a 39. Sophomores0 Jack Stamatis 40, Griffin Huntington 41 and Daniel Burden 42 all contributed to the win.
Peter Lochnicki lead the way with a 39, as the Ramblers traveled all the way to Prairie Ridge to defeat Montini by 20 strokes. Ned Horton 40, Mark Bitbabo 40 and Ryan Horn 41/James Farrell 41all contributed to the win
The Lake Forest Freshmen Invite is the premier Freshmen golf tournament of the season, including Lake Forest, Hinsdale Central, New Trier, Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South. The Ramblers finished in 3rd place, 14 strokes better than 4th place New Trier. 1st Place-Lake Forest 329, 2nd Place-Hinsdale Central 330. The Ramblers were led by Pasha Zabadneh 80, who finished in 5th place, edging out teammate Duke McGinn 80 in a scorecard playoff. Mason Lalich 86, Daniel Hession 87, Cullen Hughes 94 all participated and contributed.
The Ramblers will square off a lot with New Trier this year and our Freshmen were able to win the first match 158-171. Peter Lochnicki shot a blazing 34 to dominate the field. Daniel Hession 40, Mason Lalich 42 and Duke McGinn 42 all contributed.
Ramblers earn their first victory of the year defeating GBN 156- 167. Daniel Burden led the way with an impressive 36. Griffin Huntington 39, Jack Stamatis 40 and Duke McGinn 41 all contributed to the win.
JV Ramblers kicked off the golf season with a 1 stoke loss to GBS 164-165 Jack Stamatis had the low score of the day with a 38. Ryan Horn 41, James Farrell 43, Ed Horton 43 rounded out our qualifying scores.
