Congratulations to the Girls' Varsity Soccer Team, which defeated Lane Tech 1–0 to capture the regional championship over the weekend. In overtime, Sammy Holton '19 scored the only—and winning—goal for the Ramblers off an assist from Stephanie Ramsay '18. Maggie Avery '18 earned the shut out victory in goal. The team then advanced to the IHSA Class 3A sectional semifinal, where they defeated Glenbrook South 3–0 on Tuesday night.
With their 2–0 victory over highly ranked St. Francis of Wheaton, the Girls' Varsity Soccer team clinched the GCAC Championship with a 5–0–1 record. St. Francis and the Ramblers were tied for 1st place heading into this highly anticipated match-up.
