Rambler for a Day

The Loyola Academy Shadow program gives prospective students the opportunity to experience a typical school day at Loyola Academy.

Eighth Grade Shadow Program
Current eighth graders are invited to shadow September through November.

Seventh Grade Shadow Program
Current seventh graders are invited to shadow March through April. We look forward to seeing again for an additional eighth grade shadow day!

Shadow Day Details

  • Drop Off and Pick Up

    The Shadow day begins at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 2:00 p.m. Shadow students should enter through the main entrance and proceed to the Marillac Room, room 250. Please follow our student drop off procedures available here. Parents should pick up in the visitors pick up line at 2:00 p.m.

  • Attire

    Shadow students should wear a collared shirt or blouse and khaki, navy, or black pants. Shadow students may wear any kind of shoes except for sandals and flip flops. Blue jeans and skirts are not permitted.

  • Lunch

    Lunch will be provided in the Loyola cafeteria. A shadow students can use cash/credit cards for any additional food or beverage items. 

  • Parent Tour

    We are happy to provide a 30 minute parent tour beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the day of your child's shadow day. Please enter through the Piazza entrance, door #6, and check in with the security desk upon arrival. All tours will end at the main entrance, door #1, where shadow students will be dismissed promptly at 2:00 p.m. To register for a parent tour, log in to your My Loyola account and complete the parent tour form on the checklist.

  • Spring Shadow Dates & Registration Information

    Available shadow days for seventh graders are indicated on the shadow calendar.

    To register for our Shadow Program, simply log in to your parent/guardian account. Not sure if you have an account? If you completed an inquiry form for your child in the past, you have a Loyola Academy account. If you have not completed an inquiry form, that is the first step on your child's Rambler journey. The inquiry form is available here. Once the inquiry form is processed you can log in to your parent/guardian account to register for a shadow day.

    Once you've requested the shadow day, help personalize this day by completing the Shadow Day Experience form on your parent checklist.
