• Boys' Golf Advances to Sectionals

  The boys' golf team is advancing to the Sectionals competition on Monday, October 2, at Prairie Bluff Golf Course. As a team, they shot 310 and took third place. New Trier won the Regional shooting a 291 and Evanston finished 2nd shooting a 306. Ramblers were led by Seamus Purcell '25 (74), Drew Southwell '25 (78), Ben Riekse '26 (78), & Gavin Smith '24 (80). Go Ramblers!

• Chicago Catholic League Golf Championship

  Frosh/Soph: Congrats to our JV golf team for winning the CCL Championship at Cog Hill with an impressive Team score of 302. Jack Stamatis '26 75-2nd Place, Daniel Burden '26 75-3rd Place, Griffin Huntington '26 76, Duke McGinn '27 76, Peter Lochnicki '26 78, and Mark Bitbabo '27 86.

• Varsity Tryout Information

  1).  The fall sports enrollment is available on the student resource board(it says "you have 1 form to complete" in a yellow banner). Athletes need to complete the fall sports enrollment form to be placed on the roster. YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS FORM OR YOU CAN’T TRYOUT AND THERE ARE NO MAKEUPS!

   

  2). Physicals: Athletes cannot attend  tryouts if an updated physical is not on file. All physicals can be sent to healthforms@loy.org. YOU MUST HAVE AN UPDATED PHYSICAL ON FILE OR YOU CAN’T TRYOUT AND THERE ARE NO MAKEUPS!

   

  3). You must attend all 3 days of tryouts if you want to have an opportunity to make the Varsity golf team. We don’t allow makeups.

  
  We will have 3 days of tryouts this year. 
  
  Monday Aug 7        6am @ Wilmette Golf Club 
  Tuesday Aug 8        12:30pm @ Wilmette Golf Club
  Wednesday Aug 9  1:40pm @ Glenview Park Golf Club 
  
  You are only allowed to tryout for the Varsity if:
  1. You are a rising Junior or Senior
  2. You are an underclassmen and were on the Varsity the prior season
  3. You are an underclassman and have been invited by Coach Batti 
  
  It is your responsibility to pay for your own greens fees and range balls for tryouts. (I will be collecting your greens fee receipt each day of tryouts)
  
  The times I gave you are the first tee time we were given. Please plan accordingly so that you have enough time prior to teeing off to warmup (hit or putt some balls). If you miss your tee time, I cannot let you tryout. 
  
  I will send an email with times the Sunday prior to day 1 of tryouts. 
  

   

  We take pride at Loyola Academy Golf in upholding the values of the game. There is no place for unsportsmanlike behavior as it relates to etiquette, reporting honest scores, pace of play, dress code and a positive attitude. During tryouts we will be diligent in upholding these standards and it will continue to be a goal throughout the season. 

   

  For those individuals who make the golf team. A golf bag, golf book holder and golf gear will be required to purchase. You will not need to order these. More info will be available later.
