  • Barrington Invite

    Coach Batti

    Loyola Academy at the Mike Kallenbach Classic – Biltmore Country Club (Aug. 25, 2025)

    The Ramblers put together a strong showing at the Mike Kallenbach Classic, finishing tied for 2nd with a team score of 314 (+30).
    Sophomore Xander Schafer had a standout performance, firing a 70 (-1) to earn 1st place medalist honors in the field.
    Ben Riekse (80, +9) contributed steady play near the top of the lineup.
    Mark Bitbabo (82, +11) and Mason Lalich (82, +11) both added key scores to secure the team’s runner-up finish.
    Also competing were Duke McGinn (83, +12) and Connor McAuley (86, +15), both continuing to develop their games in a competitive field.
    The Ramblers not only competed well on the course but also led the charge off of it, helping drive donations to support the Childhood Cancer Cure. A big thank you to all who contributed to such an important cause!!!
  • Buffalo Grove Invite

    Loyola Academy at the Buffalo Grove Invite – Buffalo Grove Golf Course (Aug. 30, 2025)

    The Ramblers battled hard at the Buffalo Grove Invite, finishing 4th overall with a team score of 305 (+17) in a strong field.
     
    Xander Schafer (74, +2) paced the team with a confident round, earning a 10th-place individual finish.
    Daniel Burden (75, +3) stayed consistent throughout the day to post another reliable score.
    Ben Riekse (76, +4) added steady play from the top of the lineup.
    Ryan Horn (80, +8) rounded out the scoring with a key contribution.
     
    Also competing were Pasha Zabadneh (82, +10) and Connor McAuley (84, +12), both of whom gained valuable experience on a demanding course.
     
    The Ramblers showcased depth once again, highlighted by Schafer’s top-10 performance. Loyola will build on this momentum as they move deeper into the season.
  • Glenbard West Quad

    Loyola Academy at the Glenbard West Quad– Village Links of Glen Ellyn (Aug. 30, 2025)

    The Ramblers finished 4th at the Glenbard West Invite with a team score of 319 (+31).

    Mason Lalich (75, +3) and Duke McGinn (75, +3) led the way with matching rounds that showed steady play throughout the day.
    Mark Bitbabo (84, +12) and Ricardo Gonzalez Salles (85, +13) rounded out the scoring for Loyola.
    Also competing were Danny Hession (86, +14) and Griffin Huntington (96, +24), both gaining valuable tournament experience.

    The Ramblers will look to keep sharpening their game as the season progresses.
  • Libertyville Invite

    Loyola Academy at the Libertyville Invite – Thunderhawk Golf Club (Sept. 2, 2025)

    The Ramblers competed hard today at the Libertyville Invite on a challenging Thunderhawk layout, finishing with a team score of 316 (+28) to place 9th overall in a strong field.
    • Daniel Burden (76, +4) led the way with a steady round that set the tone.
    • Mason Lalich (78, +6) followed closely, showing consistency throughout his round.
    • Xander Schafer (80, +8) battled well as a sophomore and provided another key counting score.
    • Duke McGinn (82, +10) rounded out the team scoring with a solid effort under pressure.
    Also competing were Ryan Horn (83, +11) and Ben Riekse (84, +12).

    With lessons learned, the Ramblers are focused on sharpening their game and bouncing back in the weeks to come.
  • Match vs. Glenbrook South

    Loyola Academy vs Glenbrook South – Glenview Park Golf Club (Aug. 21, 2025)

    The Ramblers opened their season in impressive fashion, defeating Glenbrook South with a team score of 149 (+9) to the Titans’ 155 (+15).
    Ben Riekse (36, +1) and Connor McAuley (36, +1) shared medalist honors on the day, each turning in steady rounds to pace Loyola.
    Duke McGinn (38, +3) followed close behind with another solid effort.
    Ryan Horn (39, +4) rounded out the scoring with a key contribution to secure the victory.
    Also competing were Mason Lalich (40, +5), Xander Schafer (40, +5), Daniel Burden (42, +7), Pasha Zabadneh (42, +7), Mark Bitbabo (42, +7), Griffin Huntington (44, +9), Danny Hession (45, +10), and Dylan Sorrow (46, +11).
    The Ramblers displayed balance across the lineup with multiple strong performances, securing their first win of the season and setting the tone for the matches ahead.
