Class of 2020

ALL COURSES OFFERED AT LOYOLA ACADEMY are college preparatory courses. The graduation requirements are as follows:
  • 4.0 English
  • 4.0 Theology
  • 2.0 Social Studies
  • 2.0 Science (laboratory science; one credit must be Biology)
  • 3.0 Mathematics
  • 2.0 Language (two years of one language)
  • 2.0 Physical Education/Performing Arts (students must pass Health unit)
  • 1.0 Fine Arts
  • 4.0 Electives
  • 1.0 Formation (.25 credit earned each year)
  • 25.0 TOTAL CREDITS
  1. Students are expected to carry a full load of 6.25 courses (including Formation) per semester unless granted a specific exception.
  2. It is the responsibility of students to be aware of graduation requirements and also to be certain that their academic programs satisfy their requirements. It is also the responsibility of students to review their class schedules to be certain they are scheduled for the required courses. 
  3. Students must complete two years of Physical Education, which includes passing a swimming test and the required quarter of Health. The grade for Health is averaged with other PE grades. Taking Performing Arts for two years fulfills the Physical Education requirement. However, students who take Performing Arts to fulfill their PE requirement must pass Health during freshman year. 
  4. Students in Illinois must pass an examination on the Declaration of Independence, the flag of the United States, the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Illinois. 
  5. By the end of senior year, students must accumulate 25 credits and successfully complete all graduation requirements to be eligible for graduation.
