School Closure—Traditional "Snow Day"

A more significant weather event may cause us to close campus AND cancel all classes for the day. A school closure or "snow day" will likely coincide with weather-related threats to technology and the loss of power and/or access to WIFI. In this scenario, it is important to note that e-learning and Zoom classes will not be available. The school day will be dropped from the RAMBLE cycle schedule.
While teachers are not required to post assignments on a snow day, they can only post assignments for classes that would have met during the school day that was canceled. No Zoom classes will meet. This measure is to protect students from having to manage additional academic expectations, and it supports the fact that the school day is dropped from the RAMBLE cycle schedule.

Example: School is canceled for Tuesday, which is a "B" day. A "B" day schedule includes periods 1-6. Teachers may post academic expectations for their students in those six courses. However, they cannot add to the workload of students in periods 7, 8 or 9. When school resumes on Wednesday, Ramblers will follow their L day schedule, periods 7, 8, 9, 1, 2 and 3.
