Retreats

Retreats offer the time to get reacquainted with and listen to God.

Freshmen Retreat
All freshmen will attend a mandatory retreat with their formation class in the first six weeks of school at Cabrini Retreat House in Des Plaines.  Freshmen Retreat will focus on belonging to Loyola Academy and being open to growth.  There is no additional fee for this retreat.

Sophomore Retreat
Sophomores have the option of attending a two-day, one-night retreat in Woodstock at the Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus or in Des Plaines at Cabrini Retreat Center.  Through many different activities, sophomores will be asked to reflect on their relationship with themselves, others and God.  Students will leave Loyola Academy at 8am, and return the next day at 3pm.  There is no additional fee for this retreat.

Junior Retreat
Juniors have the option of attending a three-day, two-night retreat in Plano at LaSalle Manor Retreat House.  Through various activities, juniors will be asked to reflect on the theme:  What is God calling me to do with this one gift of life?  Students will leave Loyola Academy at 3pm on the first day, and return on the last day at 3pm.  There is no additional fee for this retreat.

Kairos Retreat

Seniors and second semester juniors have the opportunity to attend Kairos. Kairos is a four-day, three-night retreat where students learn about themselves, others and God through small and large group activities, reflection and prayer. Students leave after school on Tuesday and return at 5:30 on Friday evening. There is no additional fee for this retreat.
