In his senior year Jim was named to the All-State Team as he finished 4th in the 50 yd. Freestyle with a time of 21.4 seconds. * He went on to swim for the University of Southern California where his 50 yd. Freestyle clocking of 20.14 seconds was the third fastest in the nation. * Jim was chosen to be USC captain and was named to the Collegiate All-American Team.
