Bert Metzger


Bert played on Loyola's first Chicago Catholic League championship team in 1925. He went on to star at Notre Dame where under Knute Rockne he was named a consensus All-American. His quickness and finesse at the guard position earned him the now-famous title, the "Watch-charm guard."
