LA Bar Mission Statement

The Loyola Academy Bar Association is a diverse group of alumni who have chosen to pursue a career within the law field in pursuit of serving others. Members of the LA Bar Association, with assistance from the alumni relations office, work to provide opportunities for networking and engagement among each other.

Membership

Members of the Loyola Academy Bar Association, will receive exclusive access to the LA Bar group page. Through this group page, members can participate in group discussions, access a roster of members, and learn more about upcoming events within the judicial community. Members access the group page by logging in to My Loyola. Once you have successfully logged in, click the Groups tab to get connected in the LA Bar Assocation group.

  • Update your profile

    Please update your Loyola Academy profile, specifically in regard to your business. This information will help provide better opportunities for networking within the LA Bar Association. To update your profile, please complete the Profile Update Form. This information will be reviewed by Loyola Academy and updates will be processed within 3 business days.
  • Submit your dues payment

    In an effort to provide affordable opportunities for all, members of the LA Bar Association are asked to make minimal dues payment each year.
    • $100 - membership
    • $50 - public servant membership
    • $25 - law student or recent (within the last five years) graduate membership
    Submit your payment here.
  • Membership benefits include

    • Access to the LA Bar Association Group Page.
    • Discounted registration fees for sponsored events, such as the annual LA Bar Luncheon.
    • Access to service opportunities, providing pro bono hours.

    Philip J. "Phil" Andrew '85 will receive the Pursuit of Peace Award from Parenting 4 Non-Violence (P4NV), a charitable organization which provides parenting education training, personal financial literacy training, and other family life skills training to over 3300 individuals. The Pursuit of Peace Award recognizes the significant commitment and sustained contributions of an individual or organization in the pursuit of peace by helping to promote a culture of non-violence in the Chicago area.

    The Loyola Academy Bar Association hosted 55 alumni and guests for a professional panel and networking event on Friday, October 1, at Lizzie McNeill’s in Chicago. The program featured guest speakers Judge Virginia M. Kendall of the Northern District of Illinois, Daniel Q. Herbert ’86 of Herbert Law Firm, and John G. Maher ’85 of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, who discussed some of their highest profile cases.
