Nancy Menendez

College Counselor

How many years have you been at Loyola?
I am currently in my 12th year at Loyola.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love all kinds of physical activity, especially anything that can get me outdoors. My current passion is spin class. I also love to spend time with my family and friends, both in Chicago and New York.

Favorite Loyola memory?
After my mom passed away this summer, I received an unexpected email from a group of LA colleagues inviting me to pray the Rosary in my mom’s memory in our beautiful Chapel. It was an amazing and powerful experience, one I will certainly never forget.

What is your best advice to Ramblers?
Invite God in to all areas of your daily life—whether deciding where to go to college or who your true friends are. I have learned that consistently asking God to reveal His will for my life produces the best outcomes. I am a tremendous lover of Proverbs 3:5—Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.
