  • Northshore Concert Band: Tricks & Treats

    Leemputte Family Theater
Northshore Concert Band's 2023–24 Season begins with Treats & Tricks, an enchanting exploration of magic, mystique, and transfiguration through music. Johann Sebastian Bach’s ominous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor opens the program, the winds masquerading as a grandiose pipe organ through virtuosic passages and bone-rattling chords. Enigmatic works from the cinema offer brief respite, including Howl's Moving Castle — a spellbinding suite from Joe Hisaishi's score for Miyazaki's anime film of the same title — and Music for a Darkened Theater — a medley of tunes by Danny Elfman with snippets from Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Beetlejuice. Indulge in audience favorites throughout, from selections from The Planets to Richard Strauss' Allerseelen and Barnum and Bailey's Favorite two ways! Click here to purchase tickets.
