Braimah Lawal '14 returns to Loyola with Dreaming in Colors, a dynamic new exhibition exploring identity, imagination, and the vibrant interplay of culture and memory. Braimah draws on his multicultural background to explore themes of family, longing, love, and the search for home. He blends bold color with storytelling, inviting viewers into moments of vulnerability, reflection, and connection. The exhibition will be on view in the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center from December 3, through February 21, 2026. Please review our Visitors on Campus Policy for gallery access information.

Online registration for the entrance exam will begin on Friday, November 21.
The Loyola Academy administers the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The HSPT has five sections: verbal, quantitative, reading, math and language (English). The exam is only open to current eighth grade students. Students must take the Loyola Academy Entrance Exam to be considered for admission to Loyola Academy and financial aid. A student may only test at one Catholic high school.

In a webinar for freshman, sophomore, and junior students and their parents, a panel of college admission representatives from three types of colleges (public, liberal arts, and Jesuit) will discuss how applications are evaluated at their institutions. The panel will review real transcript examples and provide a behind-the-scenes peek into an admissions committee.

St. James Chapel of the Quigley Center, 835 N Rush Street, Chicago
Loyola Academy's choirs present their annual Christmas Concert at the historic St. James Chapel of the Quigley Center. Featuring Benjamin Britten's beloved Ceremonies & Carols for harp and chorus, the concert includes timeless Christmas carols sung in the stunning architecture of the St. James Chapel. This Concert is free and open to the public.
With the Advent season upon us, we invite our graduate parents and alumni to reconnect with the Loyola Academy community for an early Sunday evening Mass with Campus Ministers Rev. Stanislaw Czarnecki, SJ, and Rev. Arek Ciemiega, SJ, followed by a light reception in Loyola's Ignatian Lobby.
Students in grades 5, 6, 7, or 8* can enjoy an evening at Loyola Academy to cheer on the Loyola Ramblers vs. St. Laurence Vikings. The Ramblers' cheerleading program and coaches will teach the students a routine that will be performed at the boys' varsity basketball half-time show. Come be a part of an exciting night of Rambler cheer! Registration fee is $30 and includes a snack and t-shirt. (*8th graders must have taken Loyola's Entrance Exam to participate.)
Boys in grades 6, 7 or 8th* can enjoy an evening at Loyola Academy to cheer on the Loyola Ramblers vs. St. Laurence Vikings. As VIP guests, participants will be included in Coach Livatino's pre-game talk, take a picture with the varsity team, and enjoy dinner and reserved seating at the game. Come be a part of an exciting night of Rambler basketball! Registration fee is $30 and includes dinner and t-shirt. (*8th graders must have taken Loyola's Entrance Exam to participate.)
