  • Lumen Christi Institute Magis Lecture: Do We Know More than the Apostles? Or, Do Doctrines Develop?

    Performing Arts Center
Everyone realizes that some aspects of the Church have changed in the half-century since the Second Vatican Council. But has Catholic teaching actually changed? Moreover, can Catholics say that our understanding of the faith grows and deepens over time, that it develops? If we say “yes”, a simple but vital question follows: Can we say that we know more than the Apostles?

Dive into the heart of American music with a sizzling concert celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month! Join us for an unforgettable evening at Loyola Academy with Jazz musician Mark Olen and his dynamic 7-piece ensemble as they pay tribute to the iconic composers who shaped the landscape of jazz. From the swinging sophistication of Duke Ellington to the soulful melodies of Wayne Shorter, we'll take you on a journey through America's musical tapestry, showcasing the innovation, improvisation, and pure joy that defines jazz.

Sponsored by The Music Performance Trust Fund
As a funding sponsor of this event we look forward to being a proud participant. We hope you will include us on programs, list us on your website, send us photos, press releases, video excerpts, and media coverage that feature your success. Our continuing efforts to support meaningful live performance that enrich lives through music benefit enormously from the inclusion in credits and other materials that promote the events themselves. We also make a concerted effort to expand the awareness of these events, which we believe brings greater support and attention to our local co-sponsors. We look for your enthusiastic support as a symbol of our ongoing relationship toward future endeavors.
