Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
Late yesterday, Saturday, March 21, we learned that one of our teachers tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first confirmed case of a student, faculty or staff member. The individual was last in contact with students on Thursday, March 12; began showing symptoms on Friday, March 20; and tested positive yesterday. The individual is recovering at home and has our full support. Please join us in praying for our community member's quick recovery and comfort while combating this illness.
Per the guidance of the State of Illinois, the mandated place for each of us is in our own home. Please monitor yourself for any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and follow the guidance of the CDC on how best to prevent the spread of the virus. If you become ill, please contact your healthcare provider for medical consultation.
In light of the far-reaching and rapidly developing effects of COVID-19, the number of anticipated cases and the statewide stay-at-home order, we will not notify the entire school community of every additional confirmed case moving forward; however, please know that we will continue to do everything in our power to protect students and staff during this time.
As a reminder, until further notice, the school building is closed.
Please join us in keeping all who are affected by this virus in your daily prayers and know that you remain in ours.
