Uniform Requirements

To promote and maintain an environment of scholarship, self-respect, discipline and community, students are required to report to school each day dressed in Loyola's standard uniform. Our uniform and dress code regulations will be enforced starting on the first day of school. Students are required to wear traditional classic-cut or relaxed-fit chino khaki dress slacks and LoyolaWear shirts with the Loyola Academy seal. Please note that "skinny style" or denim pants do not comply with the dress code. Rubber-soled shoes must be worn during the school day. No sandals, moccasins or boots are permitted. No facial hair is allowed.

Questions regarding availability of LoyolaWear should be directed to LoyolaWear Store Manager, Ms. Lisa Lovcik at 847.920.2486 or llovcik@loy.org. Questions regarding the school's uniform policy should be directed to Dean of Students, Dr. Alexandra Cruz at acruz@loy.org.
Polo Shirts
Loyola polo shirts are available in long-sleeved or short-sleeved styles and may be purchased in maroon, gold, black or white.

Dress Code Outerwear Items
To keep warm while remaining in dress code, students are permitted to wear crewneck sweatshirts in maroon or black bearing the Loyola logo. Students may also wear a 1/4-zip fleece pullover, a 1/4-zip black Sport Tec pullover and a full zip Sport Tec coat, all in black. All outerwear items must bear the Loyola logo and be purchased through the LoyolaWear store.

Khaki Pants
Traditional classic-cut or relaxed-fit khaki chinos (no skinny-style, stone, white or trench colors) must be worn by all students during the school day. To avoid unintentional dress code violations, we recommend that you purchase your pants from Old Navy, The Gap or Lands' End.

The uniform pants at Old Navy, the classic khaki pants at The Gap and the straight-leg chino pants in khaki at Lands' End meet our dress code requirements. Pants may be purchased at other retail outlets as long as they conform to the specifications listed above.

The walk-in LoyolaWear Store is located near the West Gym and will be open at the beginning of the school year. The store hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when school is in session. Store Manager Lisa Lovcik can be reached at 847.920.2486 or llovcik@loy.org. LoyolaWear is also available through our online store.

Dress code information is also available in the Loyola Academy Student Handbook. We ask that parents assist the school with dress code compliance.
