The varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Niles North High School 48–24 in the first sectional semifinal on Tuesday night at Robert Morris University. The team now advances to the sectional championship on Friday, March 13, when they’ll face the Evanston Wildkits.
Loyola will play in the IHSA Regional Final on Friday March 6 at 7:00pm at Loyola Academy. Game tickets are $5.00. Everyone needs to pay the gate fee to get into the game including students. Gates will open at 5:00pm. There will be no pre sale tickets.
The boys’ varsity basketball team captured the Chicago Catholic League (CCL) Championship in a 53–37 victory over DePaul Prep on Tuesday night, February 18. The team is now 25–4, 13–1 CCL. They play at Fenwick on Friday, February 21, at 7:00 p.m.

The boys’ varsity basketball team honored Loyola teachers and staff members during their game against De La Salle on Friday, January 31. The faculty and staff honored are outstanding examples of “women and men for others” who live out the Loyola Academy mission in their service to our school community.
Congratulations to Loyola Academy Physical Education Teacher and Head Boys' Basketball Coach Tom Livatino on his 300th career victory as a head coach! Coach Livatino hit the milestone on Tuesday, January 7, when the Ramblers defeated St. Rita 55–37.
Congratulations to the girls’ and boys’ varsity basketball teams which swept the Jesuit Cup on Friday, January 10, at Loyola University’s Gentile Center! The girls defeated St. Ignatius 56-52 in overtime, and the boys captured their fourth consecutive Jesuit Cup win with a 43–31 victory over the Wolfpack.
