Dr. Tina Tarazi ’06, Alumnae

For Dr. Tina Tarazi ’06, Loyola Academy was more than a school—it was a place that shaped how she sees the world and her place in it. Through academics, athletics, service, and reflection, she developed the curiosity, compassion, and resilience that continue to guide her today. As a student, Tina immersed herself in experiences that challenged her to grow, including Kairos, the silent Ignatian retreat, Habitat for Humanity, Amnesty International, volunteer service, the Latin program, and athletics. Whether traveling on the Classics Tour through Greece and Italy, competing in cross country and soccer, or serving alongside others in the community, she learned the importance of staying open to new perspectives and seeing the dignity and humanity in every person she encountered.

Those experiences laid the foundation for a career dedicated to caring for others. After graduating from Loyola, Tina pursued medicine and became a pediatrician, where she brings a thoughtful, whole-person approach to caring for children and families. Inspired by Loyola’s emphasis on reflection, service, and respect for the unique experiences of others, she views medicine as more than treating illness—it is about understanding the whole child and supporting the well-being of families and communities. Today, she remains deeply grateful for the teachers, mentors, and experiences that helped shape her journey and continues to embody Loyola Academy’s mission through a life of compassion, curiosity, and service.
