Alicia Hourihane '27

For Alicia Hourihane ’27, Loyola Academy has been a place of growth, opportunity, and community. After attending Queen of All Saints School, she chose Loyola because of the countless ways students can get involved and discover their passions. Since arriving on campus, Alicia has embraced opportunities in athletics, leadership, and service as a member of the swim team, track and field team, Torch Club, Student Ambassadors, Polish Club, and National Honor Society. She also serves as a lifeguard for Loyola Academy Day Camp during the summer, continuing her commitment to serving and supporting younger students.

Alicia credits Loyola with helping her grow academically, personally, and as a leader. Experiences like Kairos strengthened her connections with classmates and deepened her appreciation for the Loyola community, while classes such as Civics and Advocacy challenged her to think about leadership and what it means to be a woman for others. She is especially grateful for teachers like Mr. McGuire, whose support and encouragement helped shape her confidence and perspective. For Alicia, being a Rambler means belonging to a community where people genuinely care for one another and inspire each other to grow. Her journey reflects Loyola Academy’s mission of helping students discover their gifts, pursue their passions, and make a positive impact on the world around them.
