The evening of Sunday, August 20, was filled with anticipation and excitement as Loyola’s incoming freshmen and their parents filled the East Gym for a special welcome Mass.
Loyola Academy President Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, SJ, inspired with his words about not being afraid to be a great Rambler. He encouraged new students to get involved and to try new experiences.
Following Mass, Loyola Academy Principal Dr. Kathryn M. Baal discussed the new model comprised of seven houses, each named after a Jesuit saints or blessed. Students also received a class pin.
Next, students and parents separated to attend a discussion group where they heard from current parents, students and teachers. This was followed by a delicious barbecue on Hoerster Field.
Thank you to the Admissions Office, Advancement Office, Principal’s Office and the countless volunteers who made the evening such a huge success. Welcome Class of 2021!
