Loyola Rowing Qualifies at Midwest and Wins Bronze at Nationals

At the May 13-14 Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association (MSRA) regional Championship, the Loyola Academy Rowing Association qualified four boats (during their 1,500 meter races) to participate at the SRAA National Rowing Championships in Oak Ridge, TN (concluded on May 26-27).
Each of LARA’s Women's 1V8+, Men's 1V8+, Women's JV8+ and Women's Freshman 8+ qualified to compete against some of the top high-school rowing programs in the country. Of the four qualifying boats, three went on to compete at Semi-Finals (Women's 1V8+, Men's 1V8+, Women's JV8+), and the Men’s 1V8+ went on to compete at the Grand Finals and place third overall (winning a coveted bronze medal).
