Boys' Swimming Compete in Conference Championship

Congrats to all the Loyola swimmers who competed in the 2023 MCAC championship meets this past weekend! The frosh/soph team finished 2nd in the conference led by Tommy Gardy '26, who was the frosh/soph 200 IM conference champion with a personal best 2:04:77. Tim Wannemacher '25 was also a frosh/soph champ in the 50 freestyle event. The varsity team finished 3rd overall. The varsity 200 medley relay (Gus Koh '25, Max Rice '24, Velizar Filipov '26, and Carter Tiv '25) started the meet claiming the conference championship with a time of 1:36:92. Sophomore Gus Koh later on in the meet won the varsity 100 backstroke with a personal best 52.61. On Sunday, Loyola finished 2nd overall at the JV conference. They were led by Danny McGuire '24 who won the 100 freestyle with a personal best 52.00.
