2021–2022 Intramurals Attract Competitive Ramblers

Intramurals continue to be a popular flex activity for Loyola students. First semester, there were five intramurals offered to students. Sixty-six pairs of students participated in spikeball. The winning pairs were seniors Charlie Fritzsche and Connor Smyth, juniors Declan Davis and Evan Halkitis, sophomores Davino Douvalakis and Lucas Holubar, and freshmen Kate Dunn and Addison Leadbetter.
Touch football had thirty-three teams and a total of 194 students played. The winning teams were Team Mitchy (sophomores), Time Machine (juniors) and LBTA - Ryan Leider (seniors).

Fifteen teams played 16” softball. The winning teams were Big Baller Brands (frosh/soph), Cash Money (juniors) and LBTA - Ryan Leider (seniors).

Seventy-two Ramblers played kickball. The weather turned cold and intramurals headed inside with thirty teams participating in dodgeball. The winning teams were Ballerz (freshmen), Dean’s Jeans (sophomores), Winners (juniors) and Diesel (seniors).

Second semester intrmurals began strong with 3 vs. 3 basketball. Eighty teams are playing in round-robin play. These 265 Ramblers will play a total of 368 games during round-robin play. Playoffs begin soon and all four grade levels will have their championship games played on Monday, March 21, to kick off the spring spirit week.

On R and B days, intramural volleyball is set to begin. Forty-seven teams are signed up to begin play this week.
