Football
Eddie Dreher (long snapper), Denison University
Coach John Holecek states: “Eddie has transformed himself into a very consistent long snapper due to his dedication and persistence.  Our 100% FG conversion rate this year was in no small part because of him.  His accuracy and speed transfers immediately to the next level where he should immediately push for a starting job at Denison.”

James Kreutz (linebacker), University of Illinois
Coach John Holecek states: “James Kreutz may be the best all-around football player I have ever coached.  He is 100% committed in everything he does regarding football, so it is not a surprise he was elected captain and then earned team MVP his senior year.  Passionate, dedicated, studious, instinctive and athletic are just some of the adjectives that come to mind when I think of James.  Also, since he is young for his grade, I believe his best days are still ahead of him physically.  We are very excited to see James reunite with his brother and represent the legacy of great linebacker play at U of Illinois.”

Marco Maldonado (running back), Colgate University
Coach John Holecek states: “Marco has worked extremely hard to become one of the premier athletes in the state.  Unfortunately, due to injury, he only showcased his talents for 4 games. Marco has great vision, balance, acceleration and strength which made him a matchup nightmare for an opponent's front 7. He also can line up as a receiver which also causes mismatches in space with his elusiveness and quickness. No doubt in my mind, with a full season of play, Marco would have been mentioned as one of the premier backs in the state of Illinois. Because of his talents and versatility, he will be a tremendous asset to his team and I expect big things from him at Colgate.“
