Fall Admissions Events Provide Glimpse into Loyola Experience

This fall, the Office of Admissions has been hard at work planning an exciting lineup of events and activities for prospective students to visit campus and learn more about Loyola's Jesuit college preparatory experience.
Friday, October 8: Junior High Sports Night for Boys
Students had the opportunity to meet Loyola Academy coaches and student athletes and learn more about Loyola's tradition of excellence in athletics. Dinner was served and participants received a t-shirt. 

Saturday, October 9: Junior High Football Day
The Office of Admissions welcomed over 150 junior high students to Hoerster Field to watch varsity football take on Providence Catholic. These prospective Ramblers experienced the thrill and excitement of Loyola Academy football…like nothing else! They even participated in the postgame huddle to celebrate a Rambler victory (40-0) with Coach Holecek and players. What a great day to be a future Rambler!
 
Friday, October 15: Junior High Fine Arts Night
6th–8th grade boys and girls enjoyed an evening exploring the arts at Loyola Academy! Students participated in workshops focusing on visual art, theater, movement/dance and music with current Loyola fine arts students. Dinner was served and all participants received a t-shirt. 

Friday, October 29: Junior High Sports Night for Girls
Students had the opportunity to meet Loyola Academy coaches and student athletes and learn more about Loyola's tradition of excellence in athletics. Dinner was served and participants received a t-shirt. 

Saturday, October 30: Junior High Team Science Competition
7th and 8th grade students participated in Loyola's Junior High Science Team Competition, hosted by the science department. Teams of four students competed in a tournament consisting of three rotations: Kahoots quiz/data test, a building component and an experimental design focusing on scientific method. 

Thursday, November 4: Open House
The Office of Admissions welcomed nearly 700 prospective students and their families to campus for a bustling fall 2021 Open House on Thursday, November 4. After a year hiatus due to the pandemic, admissions staff members were delighted to host future Ramblers in-person and to have the opportunity to pair junior high students with current Ramblers for personal tours of the school and facilities like the student center, library and piazza.
