PLC Members Gather for Happy Hour in Chicago

Former members of Loyola’s President’s Leadership Council (PLC) gathered with incoming members at Utopian Tailgate in Chicago on Thursday, September 23, to celebrate the start of another successful year. This fun, social event is just one example of many in a long lineup of activities enjoyed by PLC members in recognition for their service and dedication to Loyola.
The PLC is a diverse group of Loyola Academy alumni who serve as ambassadors for the Loyola Academy young alumni community. The purpose of the PLC is to advance the Loyola Academy mission while providing opportunities for faith development, service offerings, and networking and professional development for the Loyola Academy community.

"It’s a great way to stay involved and give back to the Loyola community while networking professionally," notes Will Forsyth ’10, who serves as the PLC’s vice chair.

At this fun, casual happy hour, members mingled with those interested in learning more about the PLC, which offers young Loyola alumni a number of great benefits such as exclusive networking opportunities, both in-person and virtual (last year’s Nosotros tequila tasting event was a huge success!); priority and discounted registration for various Loyola Academy functions; private members-only events; and direct access to a curated list of various members of the Loyola Academy alumni community.

“There is no stronger community than that of Loyola Academy. PLC is the alumni network that has provided me the opportunity to continue to strengthen relationships and broaden my perspective,” adds Luke Joyce ’10, PLC chair.

In addition, council members have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills by co-chairing a variety of events, connecting with industry leaders at PLC networking panels, and strengthening their faith by participating in service projects. They also  grow their professional networks and engage with industry leaders at events throughout the year.
