Senior Surprise: Golf Cart Valet!

A fleet of golf carts, navigated by Loyola faculty and staff members, awaited seniors as they arrived at school on March 25–26 and valeted them in style from the student parking lot to the main entrance for an unforgettable red carpet entry.
“The goal was to let our seniors know that they are special to us and we appreciate all they have done during their four years at Loyola,” explains Executive Vice President Dennis Stonequist ’90, who organized the surprise and equipped his golf cart with a bluetooth speaker to play students’ favorite songs. “This was about having fun and celebrating the Class of 2021.”

Once seniors were dropped off at the main entrance, a red carpet led them past a gift station where parent volunteers held signs of encouragement and handed Loyola Academy cookies. The golf cart valet days, which occurred during Loyola’s spring Spirit Week and on the twin-themed dress down days, are one of many ways Loyola Academy plans to honor the senior class in the coming weeks.

A special thank you to our parent volunteers and golf cart drivers: Principal Charlie Heintz, Associate Principal for Academics Phil Nieman, Executive Vice President Dennis Stonequist ’90, Associate Athletic Director Mark Carrier, School Nurse Corry Braasch, Director of Student Activities Melissa Krein, Executive Assistant Julie Meier and Administrative Assistant Rose Schurer.
