Loyola's National Merit Semifinalist Advances to Finalist Standing

Loyola Academy’s National Merit semifinalist, senior Charles S. "Charley" Radtke, named by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in September, has advanced to finalist standing. The NMSC honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
All winners of Merit Scholarship awards are chosen from the finalist group based on their abilities, skills and accomplishments as demonstrated by their academic record, information about the school’s curriculum and grading system, test scores, the finalist’s own essay and more.

Charley is now one step closer to securing some of the 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be awarded in the spring. Notably, he was also recently named as one of two Presidential Scholar candidates from Loyola Academy
