The girls’ team finished on top of the Scholastic Division, which is the upper division, of Metro Girls Hockey league for the first time since 2011. League playoffs begin on March 1 at West Meadows ice rink with a semifinal game at 7:00 p.m., opponent TBD.
State playoffs begin for the girls with a quarterfinal game against Lake Forest on Sunday, March 8, at 5:45 p.m. at Heartland. The winner of this game will play in the state semifinals on March 17.
Lastly, Caroline Smith ’21, broke the Loyola girls’ Hockey point record, which had been previously shared by Val Caldwell ’17 and Erin O’Connor ’14, of 49 points. Caroline has 60 points after completion of the regular season.
