News from the Mathletes

On Saturday, February 22, Loyola's Mathletes competed in the annual ICTM Math Competition against the following schools: New Trier, Evanston, Niles North, Niles West, Maine West and Maine South.
In the written contest, Matthew Griesmeyer ’22 came in 3rd place
and Max Makowski ’22 in 5th place. These placements helped the geometry team to 2nd place. 

The freshman and sophomore 8-person, calculator, and oral teams all received 3rd place.

The freshman and sophomore 2-person team, Matthew Griesmeyer ’22 and Peter Scheidt ’22 helped secure the whole team’s 4th place finish by taking 1st place.
