Ramble Rouser 2020: An All American Kickoff to Ramble Season

Friday, January 24, was a great night for Loyola Academy as we celebrated the 2020 Ramble Rouser and kicked off the Ramble season! Approximately 350 members of the Loyola community gathered in the East Gym, beautifully decorated to this year’s “All American” and red, white and blue theme.
Attendees enjoyed great conversation and lively music while tasting regional American cuisine such as seasoned and baked chicken with honey & buffalo hot sauces, mini Chicago hotdogs, Maryland crab cakes with remoulade sauce, Hawaiian-style tuna poke in cucumber cups, veggie crudité cups with hummus, and apple crisp with walnuts.

Thank you to event chair Carolyn Collins, co-chairs Stacy Fitzgerald and Maurenn Loftus, and Megan Leadbetter, Fran Dean, Bill Brandstrader and all the Mothers’ Club and Fathers’ Network volunteers for contributing their time and energy in making this a spectacular event.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor Wintrust Financial Corporation. And thanks to Broken Shed Vodka for providing delicious chocolate martinis!

Congratulations to our Ramble Raffle Winners: Diana Barr (Apple MacBook Air), Andrew Engels (four tickets to ride on the St. Patrick’s Day Clover Cruise to see the Chicago River dyed green), and Eliza Grant (two tickets to Maroon 5 at Wrigley Field).

And congratulations to Early Bird Tuition Raffle winner Lisa Mullen who went home with one student parking space effective immediately through the end of the school and through the 2020–21 school year. The First Annual Loyola Academy Tuition Raffle has been huge success to date with over 500 tickets already sold! The grand prize drawing of one year of free tuition will be drawn at the Ramble on May 2. With only 750 tickets to be sold, don’t delay—purchase your tickets today!

We are grateful for the many hands that made this event possible and look forward to seeing you at Ramble 2020: A Night to Unite on Saturday, May 2.
