Sophomore Scripture Showcase

With three weeks to prepare,  students in classes from Mr. Howe, Mr. Martin, Mr. Chang, and Mr. Jansen were divided into groups of four to showcase their scripture presentations.  Students reappropriated specific symbols, characters, or themes of a Gospel passage, then related the teachings of the scripture to contemporary society. The message and values of the Kingdom of God were revealed in each presentation. 

Each group accompanied their showcase by creating a design piece —a survey/infographic, poster, video, social media, game or advertisement—in an effort for other students to be actively engaged. For each design piece, students wrote an artist’s statement describing the reasoning behind it and how it reappropriates the scripture message.
