Robert Desherow '93 Appointed VP for Admissions and Enrollment

Loyola Academy President Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, SJ, recently announced the appointment of Robert "Beau" Desherow '93 as Loyola’s new vice president for admissions and enrollment.
“I am pleased that Beau Desherow has accepted my invitation to lead the vital work of Loyola’s admissions team in attracting great future Ramblers,” commented Father McGrath. “Mr. Desherow is a dedicated Ignatian educator, who has served Loyola since 2004. As a Loyola alumnus and parent, he brings a deep and varied experience to his new leadership position in admissions.”

Mr. Desherow, who graduated from Loyola Academy in 1993 and is a member of Loyola’s Athletic Hall of Fame, served as the assistant director of admissions from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, he was named assistant dean of students. Additionally, he has directed LA Day Camps since 2014; has coached varsity football, varsity girls’ track and field and sophomore basketball; and has served as a member of Loyola’s Cura Team, as an LA Way adult mentor and as a Companions mentor.

"I am extremely excited to get out into the community and introduce future Ramblers to our tradition of success in the classroom, athletic fields and co curricular activities," says Desherow. "As we enter into our Second Century of Excellence, there is no better time to become part of the Loyola Academy community." 

Mr. Desherow holds a master’s of education in administration and leadership from National Louis University (2009). He lives in Des Plaines with his wife and family.
