The PLC Volunteers with Catholic Charities

On Tuesday, May 7, a handful of Rambler alumni took the initiative to help feed the hungry in Chicago with Catholic Charities. Volunteers served meals tableside and conversed with guests at Catholic Charities’ headquarters on LaSalle St.
“I was excited to finally participate in the program myself,” explains Saly Sebastian ’06, an executive board member on the President’s Leadership Council and co-leader of the council’s Faith & Service committee. “It was an incredible experience to take a few hours from the bustle of the day to connect with neighbors in our community who face unimaginable challenges. I was blown away and inspired by the kindness of the guests we served and look forward to participating again.”

The event was sponsored by the President’s Leadership Council (PLC), a diverse group of Loyola Academy alumni who serve as ambassadors for the Loyola Academy young alumni community. The purpose of the PLC is to advance the Loyola Academy mission while providing opportunities for faith development, service offerings, and networking and professional development for the Loyola Academy community.
