Junior Student Council Hosts "Wigs for Kids"

On Monday, May 13, Junior Student Council partnered with Rolf’s Salon in Wilmette to host a “Wigs for Kids” hair donation program at Loyola. The event provides hair replacement and support for children who have lost their hair to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, burns and/or other medical issues. The wigs are donated free of charge to children in need.
“It is such an inspiring day to see our students make such a personal and generous sacrifice to help others,” says School Counselor Selina McGuire. “This is a totally personal and generous act of unselfishness. We have great students at Loyola!”

This year, nearly 30 Ramblers donated their hair. Alumna Brenna McCarthy ’18, who donated as a student, kept her tradition going and came back to donate again.
