Mentor Program Members Enjoy Dinner in the City

Loyola Academy’s Leadership Development and Mentor program pairs young alumni mentors with current Loyola students to create a space for networking and mentorship within the Loyola community. On Tuesday, February 12, nearly 50 current students and alumni mentors enjoyed a delicious meal together at the program’s annual Dinner in the City event.
The group was treated to a modern American meal at Gemini, a Lincoln Park hot spot owned by Loyola Academy alumnus Ryan M. O’Donnell ’95. A special menu was prepared for the group:

First Course:
Gemini Salad

Second Course:
Lasagna Bolognese
Roasted Chicken
G Burger

Third Course:
Warm Toffee Cookie Sundae

While enjoying their meals, students and alumni connected for the second time this school year—exchanging Loyola stories and discussing college applications, first jobs and more.

As part of Loyola Academy's Student-Alumni Mentorship Program, alumni mentors and current students will continue to attend special events together throughout the year including a special alumni shadow day in spring. Each mentor group is dedicated to helping current students navigate through challenges at Loyola Academy, prepare for the college application and transition processes and also network for their careers and areas of interest.
