Rambler Mike Lowe '97 Wins at 2018 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards

Congratulations are in order for Emmy award winning Rambler Mike Lowe ’97 (WGN)! On Saturday, November 10, the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) awarded two Emmys for his outstanding work in news reporting.
Lowe was recognized with the following awards:

  • Outstanding Achievement for News Specialty Report/Series—Educations/Schools | “Experience is the Best Teacher”
  • Outstanding Achievement for News Specialty Report/Series—Environment | “Here Comes the Sun: The Draw and Awe of “Chicagohenge”
Lowe is a 23-time Chicago/Midwest Emmy winner, a 59-time Emmy nominee, a three-time regional Edward R. Murrow award winner (once for Breaking news and twice for Hard News reporting), a National Mark of Excellence (SPJ) award winner and a national Walter Cronkite Award for Political Journalism winner.
