Loyola Celebrates Spirit Week 2018: LAke Michigan

This years theme, "LAke Michigan," encouraged students to enjoy a week of dress-down days with fun beach-inspired themes like "Fish Day," "Bedtime Beach Bonfire," "Team LAke Michigan," "Day on the Water" and "Loyola Deck-Out Day." Students had the opportunity to compete in Penny Wars, learn how to Step Up and Be Involved at the Cocurricular Fair, watch movies in the Student Center while enjoying tasty s’mores in the Quad, participate in karaoke and a photo booth in the Cafeteria, dunk some of their favorite administrators and teachers in a dunk tank and play WickedBall in the West Gym.
The week concluded with a rousing Rambler Rally on Friday, September 28, that led students into the weekend. Later that evening, the Class of 2022 danced the night away at the annual Freshman Luau, a Hawaiian themed party.

On Saturday, September 29, the varsity football team took on the Montini Broncos in a close homecoming battle that ended with a Rambler defeat of 28–27. Donned in their formal wear, sophomores, juniors and seniors returned to campus on Saturday evening to celebrate the close of spirit week with a beautiful homecoming dance in the East Gym.
