Cultural Response Pedagogy Training Fosters Continued Learning for Faculty
Social justice educator Sara Wicht returns for a second round of professional development opportunities for Loyola faculty and staff this fall. Her training will focus on continuing to build our pedagogical toolboxes through techniques and strategies that focus on classroom culture, instruction, teacher leadership and family and community engagement.
The goal of the training is to further ground our work in Catholic Social Teaching and the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm.
Wicht has over 20 years of experience in K-12 education. Her work in social justice and anti-bias education includes expertise in instructional practice, teacher mentoring, professional development, curriculum design and educational publishing in the United States and Brazil. Wicht holds an M.Ed. in language and literacy, a BA in English and certification in secondary education from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN.
