Transfer Applicants

Loyola Academy offers a rolling admissions process for transfer students for the next academic year. Letters of decision will be emailed once all information is received. Loyola Academy reserves the right to limit the number of transfer students due to space limitations, even if the transfer student meets the criteria for admission. Loyola does not accept mid-year transfers or transfers into senior year.

The application process for transfer students includes the following steps:

  • Complete the online Transfer Student Application Form available April 1, 2024.
  • Upload unofficial transcripts to the student checklist. Official transcripts are required after the applicant’s current school year is completed.
  • Upload three letters of recommendation from current school to the student checklist:
    • One letter from principal or assistant principal
    • Two letters from current teachers
    • Letters of recommendation should be mailed to:
Loyola Academy
Admissions Office
1100 Laramie Ave
Wilmette, IL 60091
Letters may also be emailed to admissions@loy.org
  • Upload copies of most recent standardized tests (HSPT, PSAT, PLAN, ACT, SAT, etc.) to the student checklist.
  • Upload a letter from current school indicating attendance/tardy and discipline records (if applicable) to the student checklist.
Loyola Academy accepts the most qualified applicants and only if space is available to accept the student. Acceptance is contingent upon space, academic fit and the successful completion of the applicant’s current school year. If an application and supporting documents are received by May 1, Loyola will email a letter of decision by May 15.

Information for students with diagnosed learning differences and testing accommodations can be found here.
