Blessed with an elastic left arm, Henry J. Hyde blazed his way into Loyola record books and into opponents' heads. His blistering fastball and head-to-toe curveball intimidated batters and endangered the art of hitting. Given, at times, to a nasty mound temperament, Henry was anything but hitter-friendly.
