Come early to the College Fair for special presentations from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Topics may include:
  • Counseling for Fine Arts and Performing Arts Students: This session will feature information for students who are considering majors in the fine and performing arts including how to evaluate arts colleges, liberal arts vs. professional training programs, differences in the application process and how auditions and portfolio reviews play into the admissions process.
  • Essential Facts about the Athletic Recruiting Process: There are many benefits to sports participation in college. The goal of this session is to help Loyola athletes find information and advice that can guide them through the university and college sports recruiting process to find the opportunity that is right for them.
  • For Those Who Are Undecided: Not sure about a major? You're not alone. Many students enter college undecided on a major. Many students who enter college declaring a major are really undecided. Some students may be unwilling, unable or unready to make a choice of an area of study at the point when they enter college. But, they are still expected to pick schools, apply to and start degree programs without knowing where they want to end up. Studies show more than 50% of those who declare a major, change majors—many students doing so two or three times during their college years. When considering colleges, it is important to consider practical programs, services and resources to help students who are undecided on their college major.
