Born in 1491 into a noble Basque family and raised to be a soldier and courtier, Ignatius' life took a dramatic turn when he was wounded in the battle of Pamplona. Convalescing in his family's castle, time and circumstance saw God stir up something new in Ignatius. He found himself drawn away from the romantic ideas of chivalry and knighthood and dreaming of a life spent in the service of God. Join us for this virtual event to learn more about this soldier, pilgrim and saint. We will explore his vision of life, work, and love and examine how this vision might assist us in ordering and shaping our own lives.
