A New Home for the Arts

In 2022, Loyola Academy opened the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center, a transformative addition to campus that elevated opportunities for students in theater, music, dance, and the visual arts. Located on the northeast corner of campus, the state-of-the-art facility provided a dedicated home for artistic expression and collaboration, reflecting Loyola's longstanding belief that the arts are an essential component of a well-rounded education.

Designed to support both learning and performance, the center includes professional-quality spaces where students can create, rehearse, and share their talents with the broader community. From theatrical productions and musical performances to artistic showcases and community events, the facility quickly became a vibrant hub of creativity and engagement. The Performing Arts Center not only enhanced the student experience but also created new opportunities for Ramblers to develop confidence, discipline, empathy, and self-expression.

Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of educating the whole person, the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center affirms that the arts play a vital role in helping students understand themselves, appreciate diverse perspectives, and engage more deeply with the world around them. More than a building, it represents Loyola Academy's commitment to nurturing creativity, imagination, and the human spirit for generations to come.
